What
is PrintStream’s Mail.dat?
Streamline
Solutions is pleased to offer import of Mail.dat
files into the PrintStream Direct Mail Management
System. (DMMS) The mail.dat import tool is primarily
designed for companies that produce mailings where
there is a significant volume of postage discounts
and/or entry points and/or packages.
The
Mail.Dat Support program is designed to save hours
of manually entering postage count data and is
done in an error proof manner. Drops and list counts
are created for the jobs in PrintStream using the
files from your Monticello Mail, Postware or Mail
Manager 2000 Presort Software. Drops and list counts
are created for each postal destination by matching
presort files with the PrintStream job packages.
After the drops and list counts have been created,
the quantities in MailEstimating for packages,
drops, inventory reservations and pricing can be
re-calculated from Mail.Dat with the single click
of a button.
Mail.dat
eliminates the repetitive entry and errors associated
with the manual entry of postage count data.
Benefits
are obvious for the direct mail company involved
in projects that require multiple packages or versions
that need to be tracked for production billing
and postage reconciliation purposes; or for companies
whose mailings often do not mail as hoarding errors
will deliver substantial cost benefits. Benefits
