STREAMLINE SOLUTIONS TO PARTNER WITH ixact GmbH FOR JDF/JMF INTEGRATION
San Rafael, CA (January 5, 2009) –Streamline Solutions is pleased to announce an agreement with ixact GmbH of Germany. This agreement adds JDF/JMF functionality to the PrintStream business and production management software for printing, mailing and fulfillment companies. Through the use of the ixact component ixFrame/DB, all necessary tasks for creating and interpreting the JDF & JMF files, and facilitating the communications between printing equipment and the corresponding PrintStream application will be managed.
The initial focus will be to provide PrintStream JDF interoperability with prepress workflows and sheetfed presses. It is anticipated that digital and web press capabilities will follow quickly, with other production equipment to be included at a later date. The process calls for Streamline Solutions staff to work closely with ixact staff in Germany to expedite the process. Streamline Solutions has also agreed to be a vendor for the ixact products and provide long term support after initial product integration.
